Ferrari and Ducati concept Fila shoes

Before Ferrari's vast merchandising empire teamed up with Puma to put prancing horses on anything from baseball caps to running shoes and everything in between, they were in bed with Italian sportswear company Fila.

That partnership produced some attractive products, but while Puma's line packs more merchandise, if Olivier Henrichot is behind the designs, Maranello may want to consider going back to Fila.

The Portland, Oregon-based designer worked up a whole portfolio of intriguing footwear for Ferrari and two-wheel counterpart Ducati that join what appears to be a growing closet full of concept shoes.

ER34 versus Genesis Coupe

Eu Jin recently blogged about the Genesis Coupe:

"The Hyundai Genesis Coupe has been gaining headlines throughout the world since its launch end of 2008. This is the first rear wheel drive sports coupe from Korea."

"The 3.8 V6 does the century sprint in less than 6 seconds while the smaller 4 pot engine does it in less than 7 seconds. Mighty impressive I must say. Interior wise is pretty well equipped too."

"Interestingly also, the aftermarket development is picking up for the Genesis Coupe. Rhys Millen is driving one on drift events in the United States. Great marketing/promotion I must say."

With this concept car, BMW uses all its knowledge gained in motorsport to provide a look into the future of what is possible in terms of performance and design.

0-100 km/hr in 1.2 second ... woohoo !

A Nissan 350Z-based dragster designed by driver John Bradshaw clocked an impressive 0-60mph time of just 1.2 seconds. The 1,900 horsepower car set the pace in the run up to the FIA European Finals scheduled for Sept. 10-13 at Santa Pod Raceway in Northamptonshire, England.

The car also goes from a standstill to 168 mph in 4.1 seconds. Bradshaw and his team have a solid drag racing history, getting a quarter-mile time of 7.68 seconds (177 mph) in a Nissan Skyline. Dubbed Project GTST, the 1997 Skyline RWD GTST set a record for fastest Japanese car in Europe in 2008.

Venomspeed Evo X?

I was pumping dino juice into my thirsty S15 at Serangoon Gardens just now and this baby roared in. Exit owner with tattoos and accompanying Honda Fit sidekick which sports VS decals. I didn't see them on the X though. Nothing like a bit of F&F-style drama to spice up my otherwise boring Sunday evening.
